I have a brand new out of the box BCM and the key codes. The key codes are taking in element manager, but this is the first time I have entered key codes on a BCM50. All the other ones I have done have been preloaded. I could use a little phone help if possible. I am trying to get this system up and going so I can program it at home and let it run a couple of days.
thanks Zane 720-217-6664

Did they give you key codes? More than likely they gave you Authorization Codes.
You have to have the System ID and the AUTH Codes. Then from the Nortel Web Site, you enter that info and it will give you the key codes. You probably don't have access to the web site, so whoever you bought them from should be able to get you the key codes. Make sure they download the FILE from the web site.
You want them to send you that FILE. Then you upload the file from the key code screen.
If CON is the opposite of PRO Then what is the opposite of Progress?

I have the authorization codes, and I have the actual key codes, or shall I say key code. there is only one, which seems to be correct as far as what nortel says. If you order 4 options, you get one key code.
According to entering the key code instructions, and I am doing it manually, I am to enter the number in the data field, i.e., 12 digital stations, 2 IP seats...... then the key code. It comes up with an "invalid key code". It could have been sent wrong, and I can verify all the information on monday, I was just hoping that I was entering something wrong, and it could be fixed easily.

Enter also the Sequence # and Keytype #
Sometimes it wont take so try another method as there are 3 ways -Via Telset 9*8 -Via Manual entry in EM -Via Upload of LIC file in EM

Thanks to some excellent help from NTlayoff, I was able to load the keycodes via the Upload of LIC file in Element Manager. Not sure why the manual way did not work. But we are up and running.
