We have a Norstar CICS 7.1 and we had a power outage the other day. Once the power came back up and the phone system came back up I have one phone that will not get CLID.

I checked his extension and it shows to be turned on. I know there is another place to check it as there are two places to actually turn it on. I just can't find the other place. I thought it was on the actual line itself. But under the line's telco features there is no CLID.

Could someone provide some assistance?

Is the line that is not displaying CLID set to ring or appear & ring on the phone? If it is appear only, you will get no CLID.

Make sure it set up for Number not for name. If provider doesn't send a name then it will come with no info. Does CID come up after you go off hook for ringing line?

It shows Line 003 > Transfer when the user picks up the phone.

The user only uses line 3. No one else has line 3 set to appear or ring. His phone is the only one and it is set to Appear and Ring for this line only.

Put your butt-set on that line to make sure that CID is there and make sure he is answering after 2nd ring caused CID comes between 1st and 2nd rings.

ANY line that you pick up to call out will show the line number and OFFER the transfer function.

For example go to another phone and pick up Line 1. It will say the same thing but as LINE 1 in lieu of Line 3.

Got ya. Changed to Number as opposed to Name and still no luck. I am going to check with provider and make sure caller ID is working on their end.

I checked with the provider and they show that Called ID is working on that line however, the phone still does not show any number even if you pick up the phone after it rings 4 times or so. It just shows the line and the transfer.

When it rings it just shows the date and nothing else changes.

Could it be the actual phone? I do have a spare, but I would think that it is something in the programming, however, Caller ID is set to yes EVERYWHERE!
