Good Morning Guys
What would I use on a BCM50 (not50E)to install IP sets on I have been advised that a switch will only work on a 50E so the BES50 & BES120 would not work

To connect an IP phone to the BCM(either 50,50a,50e) you need a LAN port. To connect more phones then you need a switch that is inter-connected to your BCM main unit.

BCM50e has an integrated router which would support VPN setup with which you could connect the IP phones remote to BCM.

Also make sure you have the license to connect the IP clients as well!
