I have a Nortel - NorthStar system with mostly 7310 sets. (the ones with the 12 buttons above the display screen) I have one that was in a location that was protected from being able to make outgoing calls.
another phone died, and I had to move that set to a location where we want all 6 lines to be open and available for use. but the phone must have had the block programmed to the SET , not the line. cause when it is plugged in , in a diff location, it does not recognize outgoing lines, and when I try to dial, it says "ACCESS DENIED"
I have the passwords to get into both ADMIN and CONFIG, How do I erase all programming on this set, so it will recognize the 6 lines and allow outgoing calls. I DO NOT want to restore the whole system to "default".
If this would be better discussed in person, please call me @ (770) 991-9729
thanks Ed Gerson

For future reference for any "End User" wanting to ask the same question, this cannot be done on a set by set basis. Either the whole system has to be defaulted, or the individual station has to be programmed as needed.

"Either the whole system has to be defaulted, or the individual station has to be programmed as needed" OK, if indv station has to be programmed , how do I remove the restriction and have the set recognize the 6 out-going lines. BTW - I AM the owner of the system and did the original call restriction, but I cannot find my reference manual that told me how to do it, MANY years ago. And I thought ALL sets would recognize the outgoing lines, by default. That part has me baffled.
In Atlanta area - but on the south, in Riverdale.
thanks EG

What system is it? You say DR5, is that on 616 or an 824?

I won't be far from you in the morning. I will be working at the Golden Corral on Tara Blvd. in Jonesboro. Small world.

It really doesn't matter if you ARE the owner of the system. Due to board guidelines, Installer info cannot be divulged in the open forum as per our Terms of Service, which you should read, if you haven't already done so.
Rich will be able to help you out on that and he's in your neck of the woods.
