Robin, are you saying the using Norstar Remote Set tools has different capabilities as far as using particular feature codes at other sets?

What is trying to be accomplished is to establish a 3-way conference call and release from the conference but keep the two outside parties connected. Yes, we realize this will tie up two lines until the final two callers disconnect.

I have "allow redirect" for each set marked YES, and the telco disconnect supervision is turned on.

1) CallerA places call from residence to CallerB at business.

2) CallerB makes call from another line to CallerC at business. This automatically puts CAllerA on hold.

3) CallerB announces to CallerC re: conference

4) CallerB selects CONF (feature 3) and screen displays "select held line". CallerB selects held line and now conference is in session with CallerA, CallerB, and CallerC. The line that CallerA came into the business on and the line that CallerB made to CallerC are both handling this conference, as shown on the norstar screen display for the set that CallerB is on.

5) CallerB needs to drop from the conference but keep CallerA and CallerC connected.

Using only Norstar Remote Set Tools, the screen on the set shows TRANSFER, corresponding to the far right soft key. Selecting this TRANSFER soft key successfully removes CallerB and leaves both lines off-hook because CallerA and CallerC are still talking.

TRANSFER never appears above the right soft key when this "conference call" is done on any of the sets at the business.

What they are able to do, which I would call a "blind transfer" is described in my last posting on 02-25-2010 08:11 AM. One can only assume that the CallerA gets connected to CallerC.

How many intercom paths do you have on the phones?
