Does anyone know what the new Verizon ANAC number in Maryland (301 area code)is? Specifically, where we once dialed 811 for number identification that number is no longer valid. It gives a "welcome to Verizon advanced services..." greeting instead of spitting the number back at me. .

There are different numbers depending on where you are. For example, Frederick County is different than Garrett County. Where are you?

Ken,
(fyi)...This topic involves information that is probably best not to be "disclosed" in a public forum.

Thanks guys. Ed PM'd me the numbers needed. Sorry if I violated board rules here. I certainly didn't intend to do that.

Steve, you didn't violate anything by asking, if you had installer status that would have been the better place to post. We ask members to PM that kind of stuff that doesn't belong in public. The reason those numbers are disappearing is because so many non-tech people are using them.

This board has excellent Moderators and Admins that keep a close eye on everything for everyone's benefit.

You should see some of the prizes that they award to "spammers"!! smile

Cool. Sorry. Ed, do you have a site that lists these? If so, PM me.

No, I don't know of any sites that give out this information.
