Greetings all.
I know I can change the extension numbers when the system is first set up, but what I want to knw is can I change a single extension number from what it is to something differant.
For example, can I change extension number 4570 to 4583 so that the extension matches the DID number of 4583 where 4583 does NOT exist as an extension already in the system?
Just to be clear,
Ext 4570 is a valid extension
DID 4583 is not a valid extension
I want to change extension 4570 to match DID 4583.

Thank you

Greg

After that you may need to reprogram the Trunk ringing on that extension.

So if I understand you correctly, I can go into the system programming area and select to "Change DN's" and I will be able to enter the number I want in the "New DN" prompt and it will change it even though the number I want does not actually exist as an extensin number?

As long as the new DN does not conflict with anything. 4583 is probably a B2 DN, not that it matters.
