Customer has 3 sites that are networked together through an MPLS network. Two of the sites have BCM50 Rls 1. The issue is that one of the sites has a need for a WLAN phone. A T7406E, nor a Digital Mobility solution will not work for this customer. My questions are: 1. If I upgrade 1 site to Rls5 to use the 6100 series phone, will that affect my network? There is a BCM400 4.0, and 2 BCM50 Rls2. 2. I was going to use the 2332 Access Point and the 2350 Security Switch. Will I also have to use the WLAN 2245?
Thanks for any help.

1. The 6100 oem by Polycom is able to connect to the 400 currently at 4.0. Is there any other reason for the upgrade outer than the IP phone connections?
2. Road map shows the non support of the mesh product in the future. The 2350 is no longer being produced.

The 6100 phone will be working off the BCM50. That would have to be upgraded because they are currently on Rls1.

If you want to use the 50 you are correct it needs to be upgraded. It will only effect your network when you place ip phones on the network. Think 82k per call 711(best voice) and 52k for 729 ( best network).
