Received a 4.0 hdd booted, added keycode, rebooted and never came back. Received another 4.0 hdd booted added current patches it rebooted after system su patches and went for a spin for 13 hours. Rebooted today took 3.5 hours to boot, watched everything load through serial interface now stuck at BCM40 login: it doesn't like my only pssword - any ideas?

Before you added the keycodes, the system was functioning ok, it was once you added the keycodes it crapped out?


Two girls later and I'm back.....lol...been gone a while but see same faces still here. Lol

Been there done that. Patched the system with an SU patch prior to installing the software management patch. I had to re-image the harddrive repatch in the correct order and then reload the keycode. Do you have a BIT?

I had a 3.6 BCM400 that had been upgraded to 3.7.
When I tried to add keycodes it locked up. Turns out it was pirated software said Nortel Engineer. Customer bought a 4 new from me while the old vendor cried foul. lol, Customer is up and running. $16000 dollars later the customer was happy with me, but ticked off with the vendor that sold them bad software. Be careful out there where you get your systems.

When putting a 4.0 HDD in an old 3.x machine an MSC Core Upload must be done. Sometimes Nortel, or now Avaya, has to get in and do this.
