I am attempting to install a cpe Call Pilot 100 that the customer "removed" from a previous location and wanted to reinstall at their new location in another state. The MICS installed without a hitch. None of the equipment was packed other than being piled in boxes and in the back of a pickup. The Call Pilot had no power supply, so we ordered one. The problem - when power is connected, the 3 vertical lights on the Call Pilot light for about 3 seconds then extinguish. When calling the analogue stations connected to the CP - RNA. I am concluding that the unit was probably damaged in "transit." Any other suggestions?

Yes, hook them up to Digital ports on KSU...not Analog ports. Reboot CP once you have done that.

The problem - when power is connected, the 3 vertical lights on the Call Pilot light for about 3 seconds then extinguish.[/QB] This is normal. They should relight about 5 minutes later.

In the maitenance what does the port status say for the 2 ports you connected? What port numbers are you connected to? If it was damaged the lights probably would never even come on from the start...
Two girls later and I'm back.....lol...been gone a while but see same faces still here. Lol

Even when connected properly to a digital port, and you wait long enough for the lights to come on, ( did you reseat the card in the Call Pilot - with power OFF? ) and you try calling the digital DN's for the Call Pilot, ONLY the Main DN will work. All the other DN's for the Call Pilot will not work.

At this point, I have removed power and reseated the PC/MCI card. I have connected digital stations to the 2 ports, station 245 and 246. I have reconnected power and the 3 virtical lights in the middle of the cabinet light for approximately 2 seconds. I have waited for 13 minutes and have seen no activity on the 2 port lights. When I call station 245, I recieve "out of service." When I dial Feature 983 - I recieve "feature not active."

Check the power supply.
Does it have 3 prongs or 2 prongs? Is it rated for output of 9v or 8v?
Bad = 3 prongs and 9v
Good = 2 prongs and 8v
