Hi I have a customer with a BCM50 & 2 expansion units installed which I believe provides a total of 44 digital phones.

As Im Panasonic trained relocating extensions should be ok..but if the customer needs new extensions setup is their a requirement for key codes?

Thanks

You'll have to check in the system resources to see if there are any unused licenses. If there are none and you plug in a phone it will just flash and not function.

Also check for voice mail licenses as well if the new phones need voice mail.

44 is amaximum on BCM 50 but you can add IP phones. By using Manager you can take a look and verify how many active extensions are in the system and find out or there are any available for you to add.

Thanks for your help, got new extensions setup fine without keys etc.

I havent seen or used the Manager interface before, does it allow you to easily edit ext names and ext numbers?

You can web browse into the BCM50 using a lan cable and download the software.
Programming interface is comprehensive but SLOW.

Have you tried turning it off and on again!!!
