Each of our 8 offices has an M7208 phone which is left on DND so the phone calls coming in throughout the day don't ring in the offices. We just put in another line (and another M7208)in a new office. This phone is not on DND but outside calls don't ring through to it. It does however, ring when using the intercom. I would like this to happen in all the offices but don't know what's different about this one than all the others. I don't have a manual to refer to.

Do you have a local technician?? In system programming you must assign that line to that phone and you must program that phone to ring on that phone. Or at least make that phone ring on that line.

What are your buttons programmed to do on the "new extension"?? Do a Feature *0 and then press the buttons to find out what they do. Are they the same features and lines as all of your other phones?? If not, then the phone is in default.

I'm thinking that a local technician can solve this with no problem.

If I read your post correctly your office added an additional outside line from the phone company and a new 7208 set. The set rings on intercom which is allowed by default programming but new CO lines have to programmed via installer level programming to ring.

Lines 1 & 2 should ring through to it by default UNLESS someone has changed the default programming for that extension or that lines 1 & 2 have been removed from that extension. We can't say from a distance, that's why you need a local tech.

Call in someone and have him remove the ringing for each line for each phone that you don't want to ring and set up this new extension the way you want.
