I NEED AN IDEA FOR AN AUX LIGHT INSTEAD OF LOUD RINGER. IT IS IN AN OPERATING ROOM AND THE RINGER ON THE SET STARTLES EVERYONE , SO A THEY WANT A LIGHT. THANKS

Where would it punch down? i tried the wheel lock light strobe and could not get it to ring(light). i tried the analog port 237 but could only get my test set to ring. could not get the aux on the violet slate to ring on my test set.

Violet/slate of the extensions cable. Don't forget you have to "Program" for the ringer to work.

I did, i put AUX ringer in lines to yes tied down on the v/sl. i also did the same in station program on 221, for aux ringer. But my test set did not ring. Of course if i put it on the co it will ring. I also put my wheel lock on the co and it lit up.
Am i still missing something?

The AUX is just a set of make contacts that make and break when it rings. You have to supply power of some kind to them.
