I moved a MICS and everything was fine for two days, added DSL filters to two lines today, didn't touch the voicemail but all the calls started going to Gen. Del. Mailbox even though the CP100 set to pick up after 4 rings, the OPERATOR was set for operator available, business open and answer calls, and night button was set to regular or daytime or whatever, not night.
I cycled that night button back and forth but it did no good, all calls went to Gen. Del. mailbox on first ring. Finally I set the CP100 to pick up on zero rings and they at least got the message they would hear after 4 rings instead of all calls being dumped into the GD mailbox.
More than one phone has the night ring button, one says "denied in admin" and the MB 100 is not assigned to any phone, they log in to get messages.
Any ideas, I am stumped?

need to check if any phone that has inbound has fwd to vm with out a mb assigned to it..Sometimes easier to make all inbound private to 1 set..back out of programming..test..then reprogram to sets that need all inbound trunks

In my history I have never put a "Fwd to VM" button on a phone, always used capabilities to fwd to vm after so many rings.
The receptionist had that button on her phone and had pushed it inadvertantly. USER ERROR.
Thanks, Bunnie

OK, I have to ask, Bunny, how did they manage to program that? Forwarding to AA would be nice,...I fail to see a purpose for their button, other than for a quick bathroom run.

Change number of rings to3 in VM or CFNA time to 6 if you still need a personal MB for Ringing phones.

MooreTel, I got this customer from a dealer who has gone on to do only VOIP and didn't want to service Nortel any longer. The [Forward to VM] button was something they put on the phone and printed up labels for, I've never seen that before in all my years, didn't even know the feature existed.
She doesn't have to have her own mailbox so all is well now and I don't have to change ringing but your suggestion vad would have been a good solution.
What are all you Nortel guys going to sell now that Avaya has taken over, are you in Avaya Office classes or what?
Thanks, Bunnie

It is used for when someone is away from their desk and don't want the customer to hear 4,6 or more rings before going to VM in the normal mode. Forward to AA? Fwd to table-no but CCR-yes you can, but not auto, you have to do it manually. I know the Call Pilot can but I never tried it with the Flash.
