Hello,

I have read some posts on here about people not being able to get to their voicemails... Well, I'm having the same problems.

I have tried to reset my PBX multiple times, nothing.

Feature 985 doesn't work, and with XFTEST it says that the feature is free.

Every time I press Feature 985, I get the inactive feature come up.

Many people who have had this issue on here have said they've had problems, and by the end they say "i've done some fiddling and now it's working".

Does any one have any solutions for me to try?

Thanks in advance.

What you are asking is beyond the scope of this forum as it is "Installer" information. Please call one in...shouldn't cost too much.

What type of voicemail do you have? Was this a working system or a new install? If it is a new install make sure you stations are cross connected correctly. You can check with a system phone in the station jack for the vmail. If you have a call pilot what lights do you have lit?

It's a working system. The last person to work here didn't leave me with too much information. I'm quite new to phone systems, so this is a learning curve for me.

I recently had someone leave the office, and I need to delete their voicemail box.

By any chance did you try to do Feature 903? If you can do that everything else should come up.

MooreTel had me do an XFTEST and then nothing worked and I tried Feature 903 and BINGO. I don't know why it needed that, had been done before it stopped working but......

Sometimes there is no rhyme or reason to any of this and you do some weird thing that you shouldn't have to do, that should be there already and for some unexplainable reason that was exactly what it needed.

When all else fails you can always buy a new one or call in someone who may be really smart or just better at "Let me mess around in there and see if I can guess what is screwed up." Doctors do a lot of guessing and they get paid big money for it so why shouldn't we guess when we don't know.
