Anybody ever run across a Call Pilot 100 with zero mailboxes??? I repaired a Call Pilot board that a customer broke the LAN connection...when I plugged the unit in, it shows 0 mailboxes...under installed options in CP Manager the screen shows the system ID, but where it usually lists the installed mailboxes, call center, UM seats, it is blank. Through telephone programming (F983, login, 4 4) it says mailboxes: 0. How is this even possible? Anything with the fact that I'm not using the original software? Any info is greatly appreciated.

I will add that the customer had an additional 8 seats (total 18 mailboxes). A Norstar reseller friend of mine looked up the system ID and it shows the purchase of the 8 additional seats. We haven't tried to regenerate that keycode yet...I plan on waiting until we figure out where the first 10 mailboxes went.

When you say you repaired the board, did YOU repair the board somehow soldering in a new LAN jack or did you send it out to a repair facility?

If someone else repaired it, they should be doing it over. I don't know where you would ground that board but if you were poking in it with a soldering gun, well............

Good point...It wasn't ME personally, but it was my in-house repair guy who re-soldered the LAN connector to the board. Do you really think that might have completely removed the original 10 mailboxes? I guess anything is possible.

Skip55...play nice. We repaired the LAN connection just like the customer requested. I never promised the customer he'd get the unit back with ANY working mailboxes...that's obviously an extra charge, right?

On a serious note...since my original post, we had the additional 8 mailbox keycode re-generated. Now there are 8 total mailboxes on the system. Still not sure how to get the original 10 mailboxes back. My Nortel (Avaya) reseller couldn't restore them. The mystery continues.

Did you try to re-initialize the CP?

If you mean F983, login, 1, enter password:

then, yes I did. Is there another way to do it?

Is the flash card been installed properly? Did you checked any bent pins if any? Also When you do a board level repair specially on surface mount devices, checked for any hairline solder bridges. Last thing, did you swap the other software to other callpilot?
