System details: Norstar 7208 phone, MICS system, Nortel VM. The system is in a corner, so I can't read the version information on the memory card.

When a user calls from external (cell), internal, or uses the F980 leave message, they get the normal voicemail greeting and can leave a message as expected. However, I can't get the 7208 phone's voicemail message waiting to display for one particular user. This is the only extension with the problem. All other extensions display the "Message for you" voicemail notice in the 7208 display as expected.

I deleted the old voicemail (Feature 983) then made a new one for the extension. The mailbox extension matches the phone and the message indicator setting is on. I've done this multiple times, so am comfortable this part is correct.

I also used the set copy feature within the "config" programming tree to copy a known good extension to replace the problem phone extension. The button functions on the bad extension were updated to match the good extension, except for the extension phone number, so the copy worked, however it didn't fix the problem.

I checked a bunch of the items from the "config" programming tree, but didn't find a solution. I expect I just didn't look in the right place and hope someone here can point me to the right setting to update.

I don't know if it ever worked on this extension. The previous user of the extension is gone, so I can't ask.

Since the system was installed, I've done almost all the routine updates. Since it has been a couple years since the last service visit, I've lost contact with our previous vendor and we are starting the process of getting a replacement through the bigger corporate structure, but this new employee isn't happy she can't tell a voicemail is waiting. In addition, local management considers me to be the phone guy and expects me to find a solution.

Hope someone here has already figured this out.

BK13 - Welcome to the boards welcome

Sorry but there is no timer to turn off.

A lot of times someone accidently turn on the static time.
Try Feature #806 then see if you get your message for you.

NTlayoff - Thank you. That was it. I tried to turn off everything I could find with the # option, but my list of features didn't go that high. You helped me make a very happy user.
