We have a site with a CS1000, and one manager would like to have the ability to record calls to a file on his PC. We don't need a large call center call recording solution, just something simple for one user.

Any recommendations? Is anyone here doing something similar? Recording to the user's voice mail would be fine as well. We could set him up with the desktop messaging to get the audio files to his PC.

I have read about ways of making it work by programming a key to conference in a dummy extension that is forwarded to VM, and then grabbing the recorded message from that mailbox later, but I would like a solution that isn't a work around if possible.

Thankya!

Turns out this user has a digital set not an IP set. Still, it would be nice to have a solution that would work in either case.

We also are in need a a nice call recording device. Currently we are using Digital Logger, only we have the analog version, Its not very good. Would be willing to try there PRI version though. It may work better.

Offered for both of you https://www.usbcallrecord.com/digital_04.htm

I've not used the product myself, but I'm willing to try.

Thanks Carl! I'm also looking at Algo . Similar system, but only for NT systems, and only for individual users. Which is fine for what I need. There are lots of products that will record calls for an ACD group, but much fewer for individuals. The Algo software can be used with the Nortel soft phone as well, but not the newest version.

In a perfect world we could standardize on one solution where users would have the same recording software regardless of the system they were on, or whether they were using a digital set, softphone, SIP or UNIStim. Is that asking too much? wink
