Guys, Anybody knows any antena booster that can be used with 7406E to extend signal more then 300"? Have a client that rented an additional space across the parking lot. BCM out of question. Only 2 options: cordless or air cable from building to building. They gonna explore possibilities with Verizon or any other third party Company run a 25 pair between buildings or use cordless.

None that I've heard of...but it's supposed to have a range up to 1000 feet (line of sight).
Have you tried it? Grab a coffee and the handset and go for a walk across the street and test it. You might be surprised...

Dave, Are you sure its a 1000"? It is 900MHz phone. I don't remember exactely but I think it is only 300 by specs. Correct me please because the space between buildings is wide open and nothing there that can kill a signal.

See Page #2 here Note that I always had much better luck with 900 Mhz "DSS" cordless phones than the newer Ghz ones. The key was the "Digital Spread Spectrum" You may have to re-position the base so that you get the longest range towards THAT building and not so much the one they're presently in.

This could be a case for using Engenius phones, the long distance cordless ones, just need an ATA.

Engenius no good because they heed a line A & R (4 Lines), Hold, Transfer instead of a Flash and Page.
Dave! I can't reposition anything because they don't have any phones yet. After they buy its gonna be to late to repsition anything. I am trying to convince them to buy one and try. If no good they can still use'em in the main office for Reception desk.

With an ATA, any phone can have the features you need as long as the phone has a "Flash" or "Link" button on it. With an enhanced ATA or ATA-2, all 4 lines would ring. Only problem, No CLID.

Too bad they didn't make a voip 7406 base, but that will never happen now, but if you switched it out to a new Avaya Office ksu, then who knows.
That would be one hell of an expensive cordless.
