Is there any way to monitor realtime usage of the PRI circuits. My customer is experiencing random drop offs and the provider of the Flex insists that it's not them.

Is the MICS showing any alarms? You will need a tester such as a T-Berd, or Sunset to test the circuit for issues.

You can go to Network Log Events under Maintenance and see the numbers and frequent occurrence of Alarms to have an idea where is Alarm coming from. Ask provider to Loop back Smart jack to monitor a circuite.

The DTi card has a built in CSU BUT, you could route the PRi circuit to a CSU and back to the DTi card.
If there was a momentary loss of signal, a NET LOSS red light would come on if using an Adtran ACE. Of course that means putting it at someone's desk, maybe next to their monitor and they would most likely see that flickering red light, if it happens frequently enough or long enough to even light the light that someone would see it.
I've not done it but I believe you can get a printout from an Adtran CSU ACE and they also stabilize the line. Wouldn't put in a T-1 or PRi without without them no matter if it was a Nortel, Toshiba, Samsung, etc.
You could call the Adtran people, they have an astonishingly good tech support crew and it could be that an ACE would stabilize the line for you or give you a report.

Thanks for all the responses. I like the Adtran idea. The provider did all their tests and insisted it was the switch. I'am a 3rd party vendor on this job and when I went onsite I talked directly to the receptionist and then realized that the dropped calls may have nothing to do with the PRI but everything to do with her telephone. No one else was losing calls.
