I had set a door box to ring ext. 232. Then later they wanted it to ring 221 and since both phones ring on all lines, I just added a 232 answer button on 221.

The door does not ring on 221 when it rings on 232.

I should be doing something different?

Thanks, Bunnie

You could use a HG instead.

The only success I've had at accomplishing this is to ring the door phone to an SLT,
Connect the SLT to a CO port.
Change ring and/or appear on requested extensions.

Done this allot, works fine.

Putting it to a CO port disables the ability for someone to press the "open" button as it is no longer a door call and these people are jewelers.

Haven't been here for 10 days, I was switching to an improved ISP and all went bad, still not switched.

I havnt put one in for a quite a while but I seem to remember that we programed the Call DN to a phantom local, no set. We then put an answer DN key of that local where ever they wanted it to ring.

Using a HG like Rich said would probably be better.

Phantom DN instead of 221 by default is doing the job.

Wow, THANKS SO MUCH.

I had never thought to do a hunt group and that worked out perfectly as today the customer wanted a third phone added and putting them in a ringing only hunt group kept the buttons intact.

Some times things are so simple and because you've never done it that way before you just don't think of it.

Thanks, Bunnie
