I have a new BCM450 and on some of the sets, when they receive a page the sound level is very high and the internal speaker does not seem to be able to handle it and it crackles and the static is so loud they cannot hear the page. I looked for a place to turn down the paging volume in the software and can only find a spot where it says receiver volume. I set this to set volume not system volume. I have about 8 sets with the problem. When I go to the set and manually turn down the volume the static stops, but then it seems that the volume goes real high overnight or during the very next time there is a system page. The crackles and static seem to come back again. I switched out the sets with the problem, but it did not seem to help. I had a technician verify the punch downs and this did not seem to help. Any suggestions?

What type of sets and what revision? If they are the "M" series and before rev 17, that's your problem. "Set Volume" only works on the newer revisions. The older ones don't maintain the setting after the call.

For that matter, I'm not even sure if it effects paging. Maybe just actual calls in/out.

Thanks, do you mean the version of the BCM Software or the version of the sets? The software version is 9.0.1.30.594 Looking at the sets they are the 7316 model and are dated 2009/12/20. Would I need to update to solve this problem, I know revision 6 is available but this one was installed on revision 5? I don't see a place in the software where the paging levels can be set either. Handset volume seems to have little effect on ths.
