Hi; client has MICS that is giving many event codes, severity 8 , all begin with 270.( 270-0518, 270-051c..270-0508...051c....50 total just in the last 25 hours
. Looked it up says " system is dealing with a multi byte message that it does not understand while trying to initialize the telephone. May be caused by noisy line".
Since a week happening nightly, but also a few times during the day. It is a 24 hour facility so I am baffled what the common issue is.

Check your power source. Is your KSU plugged into a UPS or some other line conditioning equipment??

Also check the ground wire to that outlet. Any power on it? Have you rebooted?

thanks yes it is plugged into ups. Is that bad or good? Here on a Sunday night, it did it again. Yes rebooting is the only way to get it to come back on.

I'm 99.99% percent in agreement with MooreTel, but I have had some defective UPS units that gave me fits.
I would try a couple days without the UPS and see if it goes wacky.
I had a Samsung unit in the apartment of a famous hairdresser and they insisted it was defective.
As soon as I did away with their APC battery backup, the unit worked fine. Even a good brand like APC can have a bad unit that cuts out.
I didn't originally install the APC, they did. Got to charge them for the service call. I did put in a one millionth of a second surge protector and the green lights are still working on that.
