Greetings,
I have a client with a Nortel BCM 200 with 23 digital phone users. The CLEC has a PRI going into this system, with up to 20 DID's.
The client is dissatisfied with their provider and the cable company is trying to get their foot in the door and install POTS lines. I am not familiar with the Nortel brand but I did some research to find out that the BCM200 is too small for analog lines, only having 2 slots.
The cable co. salesman thinks that he can still save the client money by installing 20 lines for the DID users and 6 lines for general inbound calling.
Will the BCM series handle that many analog lines?
Any recommendations?
Thanks!

I would try to convince them to get another provider for their PRI. No that configuration cannot be done with the BCM200 alone. I assume the 20 lines are analog. That doesn't make sense to me.

What about the other BCM series?
Any idea if they will support that many analog trunks (approx. 26 trunks)
Or- Does Nortel have a system that is compatible with the same digital phones the BCM uses?
Thanks!

Yes,BCM 450 will. The MICS system will support the same digital phones (T series or M series).
