I just bought a used fastrad 8B80AN Rel 02 and I am trying to figure out if it works.
I plug it in and the red led comes on and blinks every once in a while.
I connect it to a Norstar plus MICS (also acquired used) and try feature 9** using an M7310 phone. The display goes blank for a few seconds and then comes back to the date. If I unplug the fastrad and try feature 9** it gives me an invalid feature message.
I am using a single pair cable and I tried connecting to different ports.
Am I missing something or is the fastrad dead?
Thank you

Could be DOA. Can the system see it in "Maintenance"?

I would open and default it, then try again. Got nothing to lose.

The system can see it in maintenance.
When you say default I assume you mean short circuit the battery, correct?
I'll do that and retry
Thanks

when the screen goes blank dial XXXXXX (after hitting Ftr 9**).

A fastrad will say Enter Password: (or something to that effect)

it sounds like you have an old rad. Does it say FastRAD on the unit?

Installer info. Please don't post such info in the open forums.

That was it! It's a RAD not a fastrad
It goes directly into the configuration menu, does not ask for a password.
I did a search for nt8b80 and it came up with fastrad. I should have looked at the pictures more closely.

Thank you
