Customer had 12 locations, now only 4. Before the move the answering machine worked fine after 4-5 rings the answering machine would pick up now the phone just rings. I have changed the station that originally the answering machine was on. Any help is greatly appreciated. Phone is a M7324 and KSU is a compact-don't know the software version.

Are you using your answering machine connected to an ATA?? If not you need to connect it directly to the CO line. No splitters!! If it's on an ATA, check your ringing.

Can you please elaborate? Answering machines don't get plugged-in to "stations". Are you referring to a regular ole' answering machine or are we talking about Nortel "voicemail/auto attendant"?

It is a regular 'from the home' answering machine which was connected through station 21 or actually the answering machine was first from wall line then telset jack to the the phone. I have read that allow tones is a capability when adding faxes and answering machine. What I don't understand is that before it was working fine then we moved office locations and now the answering machine just doesn't pick up.

Not possible...Not on a digital extension... You have to use it with a ATA (analog telephone adapter) or wire it directly on the CO line. It cant work chained to an extension. Digital extension, analog answering machine...Not compatible. Go back to the former site to see if the ATA is still on the wall. It is gray, about 5X7"
