When a call has been sent to a subscriber mailbox, seems like I recall being able to dial a code to allow me to transfer to another extension. I thought the code was ** followed by an extension number. When I tried, it wouldn't work. Do I have the code wrong?

Are you the caller or the call-ee? Where are you in the grand scheme of things when you're attempting this?

Clarification: I am the caller who has called into the system. I have reached a subscriber mailbox, but rather than leaving a message, I want to go to another extension.
Return to attendant has been set to Yes.

If Return to AA is set to Yes then one * should bring you back to Main Greeting and double ** should allow you to login for Messages retrival. If its not doing that try to Reset VM or do Reinstall.

BTW The only other thing that will work other than * to return to AA is 0 to the operator provided one is set.
