I've always installed them with wall mount brackets. The room I'm in has no wall space and just enough room to put up a small shelf and stack all 3 units. I know it says you can do it. But has anyone done this? Results? I know there is side air intake and they are slightly separated. I just don't want to cause issues for the system in a few years. Thanks

Two girls later and I'm back.....lol...been gone a while but see same faces still here. Lol

The above pic isn't my install, but it appears to be typical for shelf mounting.

In situations where I've had no room to mount equipment (routers/switches), I've used heavy-duty two-sided tape (called moulding tape...found in auto parts stores) to suspend equipment from the bottom side of the shelf.

I'd be careful about air flow, heat kills. Would it be possible to double sticky two of them back to back and stand them up and still put up a third one.

This could be a good place to put a $100 industrial ball bearing fan as insurance, at least I would spend the money.

We have a number of BCM50's stacked at multiple sites (using the built-in keyhole slots), no problems so far.
