I have a customer that has 2 people with the same last name. When using the dial by name directory I'm only able to reach 1 person. It is the same one every time. How do I get it to see the second person? Do they have to be added to a list? Is it blocked by COS.? Any input wouyld be appreciated.

If you have both last name and first name listed on the mailbox directory and they have recorded their full name the NAM will list all persons that match the name spelled. You could also change the name to match last, first, or both.

Three names:
John David
Mike Davis
Scott Davis

If you use the directory and type in DAVI then you should get all three names.
BUT it will always give you John David FIRST.
If you don't want John then press 1.
Then it will say Mike Davis.
If you want Mike press #
If not press 1 then it will say Scott Davis.

Of course that is only if all three have been enabled for Directory, and if all three have initialized their mail box.

The key is after you type in the 3 or 4 or more letters, then sit back be patient and listen to the lady as she prompts you to do something.

Make sure the 2nd mailbox is enabled for directory. Sometimes that gets missed in setting up mailboxes.
