"half the time when I get a technician, I know as much as they do"

Maybe with an apprentice tech.
If you new as much as a normal tech you wouldn't have an issue right now but you do.
However an apprentice tech knows how to add a line.

What is the SP number under Maintenance/System Version? this will tell us what system you have since your not so sure.
Reason I say that is it sounds like you want to add PRI to an 8X24 which is impossible.

You're talking TWO different systems. An 8x24 doesn't work that way. You have to add the line. If you don't know how, maybe get a qualified Nortel tech in there.
Thanks for the input. I never add to "ADD" a line before. The first two being there and rest need to be added is kind of funny. I guess once you've done it, it's pretty straight forward. Since the battery was dead I added a UPS and had to reprogram the entire system, which I suppose is good practice. Thanks again.

CICS is the same as far as having the 1st two lines there by default.

If you didn't change the batteries on the KSU & S/W card, you haven't accomplished much...sooner or later you'll have to re-program again and again and again. :read:
