My friends here at Sundance, No, I'm not yelling at anyone in here..but while I'm speaking on the telephone in one of my new work areas, it's: "WHAT DID YOU SAY? I CAN'T HEAR YOU OVER ALL THESE LOUD MACHINES, SAY THAT AGAIN??" We're talking about an EXTREMELY SCREAMING LOUD equipment room. The current telephone instrument that I use in there is a standard single-line (analog) instrument with a regular handset. I'm searching for a replacement instrument that comes equipped with a corded "headphone-style handset" with a corresponding cradle/hookswitch that would allow me to communicate on calls hands free while providing maximum local external noise reduction. Even if it's bulky like a football coach's headset, that would be fine. It must be corded, not wireless. Any recomendations would be greatly appreciated from both of my ears! Thanks Hal! :thumb: I didn't realize that these high-noise environment headsets were easily available at local office supply stores. I'll stop off to see how these actually work on the way home tomorrow.

Doubtful it would be unless they handle a full line of Plantronics. This one does need a base or amplifier (Plantronics also) so you can use it with your phone.

We deal with platronics, but I have never seen this product...I'll have to file this away!

Becky used to work at an Office Supply Warehouse...she noticed right away that the part# corresponds to the folks over at "SHARP". I'll let you know what I find out after doing an "eyes-on" with the model in the link. They're carried at Radio-Shack, Office Max, Best Buy, ect. That'll be nice to get those set up versus the phones that are there right now.

As far as I know Sharp doesn't even make headsets. I think it's just a coincedence that the Plantronics part number SHR2083-01 starts with "SHR".

No luck finding as of yet. I didn't have much time yesterday, was home with my oldest son whose been ill. I'll be heading out shortly to continue searching some local stores..I'll edit/update this post once I find them. Thx again, Hal.
