Hello,
How are the DB25's on the back of the 2250 console connected to the MDF? If they're connected directly, what is the pinout of the DB25 to the MDF? Or is this something that is premade by Nortel that I would have to buy?

25 Pair Female Amphenol cable

Terminate pairs in color code order onto 66 Block or BIX or 110 mounts.

The tech will then cross-connect from there.

It is a premade tail- amphenol on one end and DB25 type plug for the console end.

Thanks, I found the cables. I was hoping to get the pinout on the DB25 so I can wire it directly into the TN which will eliminate the need for an amphenol.

Do you know what the pinout is?

As for cable type I gather I am way out to lunch or that was how it was done way back....I know nothing of the DB style cable (RS232?) .

There used to be a pinout in the older 21-61 manuals but can't say for newer stuff. It's more complicated than a standard cord connection!

I've made these cables before, so I'm sure I've got the pin-out hidden away here somewhere. If you don't have a successful resolution to your problem by Monday, I'll check my archives. As I recall, it was NOT in one of the manuals, and I had to "reverse engineer" a cable I had purchased.

SwedaGuy, if you could possibly come up with the pinout, it would be great. That way I can wire it directly to the 66 block and avoid the amphenol altogether.
