I want to transfer callers too and outside number like a cell phone.
I understand that 4.0 software does not allow this.
Can I jump to a 6.1? I don't need to save any programming I can start from scratch. Just wanted
to see about pitfalls or any advice on the best way
to achieve the upgrade.

CICS 7.1 software is pitiful cheap and is the last that will be released, so I would say just shop around for a good price on that and be happy.
