The analog port, ext 37, has stopped ringing on incoming calls on one of our customer's cics'. We have verified programming and everything is programmed correctly. It has worked properly for the past couple of years and all of the sudden it stopped. The port will ring on an ext to ext call but not on an incoming call or as an answer dn. We did test it with our butt set as well. No problems dialing out--just ringing on incomimg calls. Also tried a system reboot-no luck. Have any of you all run across this before?

A few years ago I had almost the same thing. Worked ok for awhile on a Polycom, then quit ringing the phone.
The difference was it did not ring for any calls. Strange that it rings on ext to ext but not incoming?????
Unfortunately, all my digital ports were in use or I would have put an ATA on one of the ports.
Had to replace the unit just for that bad port.

What are you trying to ring, something with a high REN?

Have you put a voltmeter across it when an outside line is ringing it to see if there is any ringing voltage?

No ringing voltage on that port when outside line is ringing. The ringing voltage is good on the outside line. We have tried different phones and a butt set. I am just chalking this one up to a bad port or something in the software that will not let our programming map to that ext/port. We just added an ATA on an extra digital port to work around this.
