I am looking for advice on Voice Mail Intergration for the older KXT-123211D KSU. Does the system support end to end DTMF and have basic intergration strings (DTMF lamp on/off, Call forward with station ID, etc.) I plan on installing a voice mail that is not a Panasonic. Is there a certain revision of software needed, or am I out of luck?

call Panasonic for a chip soft ware up date for that system to integrate w/VM $ 200.00 last time I did it 1 201 392 4843. while on hold you'll probably here an add for this vendor for the chips. They out source for the chips but you can do it. Probably no support from Panasonic on the VM your using unless it is theirs. Can be a real project if you don't know the dtmf strings and hand shaking info.Be better off using one of there units TVS 75/100.They have a quick set up program in the VM to integrate W/ the 1232.Good luck !!!!!!!!!!!!

1= ring back. (called Ext. is ringing) 2= busy tone 3= reorder tone (invalid Ext. or no available VM port. 4= DND 5= Answer 6= forwarded to voicemail(ringing) 7= forwarded to voice mailand it's busy 8= forwarded to another Ext. 9= Confirmation tone.(lamp on or off)
It does send DTMF digits 0-9 and * and # Good luck.

I forgot to mention you do need a version 3. On the bottom of the unit there should be a small circle with a # in it. this is your version number as it was shipped.
