Can anyone tell me if there is a book or other type of resource with instructions on using Hyperterminal with Panasonic KSU's and Voice Mail? Thanks in advance for the help.

use PC plus, works better...dos or windows version. The cabinets come default with 9600 7-1-M. Use the vt100 or 102 emulation
The only dumb question is the one you don’t ask as that is the question that can make or break you. Brad

The TVS 75 defaults as 9600, 8N1. Hyper Term is fine. You do need a Null modem cable or adapter though. If you boot up the TVS 75 with the rotary switch on 5 it will be at factory defaults. then turn the switch back to 0. press enter and it should ask for your terminal. Use the VT selection. the enter and back slash (\) are used along with various numbers and the Y and N. The KXT series needs special software. there are aftermarket programs most of which have been known to cause problems. You can do all KXTD programming through the display set on port 1 and pretty much fly through it. Hope this helps you out some.

mrg what if the unit is already working and you only want to make a small change. specifically this unit gives the default greeting somthing like "you have reaached the voice messaging system" then it anounces the name of the company. it looks as though it was programmed with a custom greeting. but they neglected to leave a few seconds of silence in the default greeting. (or somthing like that. i have a manual coming. but i don't know if they lay this out for you. thanks in advance martin

Martin, you can boot it up with the switch on position 1 if you want and this will simply set the communitions default to 9600-8-N-1 but you still need a NULL modem cable or adapter. Record the greetings through the phone by calling the voice mail, press #6 and *998. I suggest using the custom menu. This is automatically linked to the company greeting your using. Just record a split second of silence on the company greeting and use the custom menues. What are you tying this in to?

Martin, from the 1st port you can assign a manager Ext. from program 106 and use that as the programming phone as well. Any phone can have a day/night key. from that phone press program and 99 press the key you want and enter 73 and press store. pick up the handset and hang it up and you will be out of the station programming. Did you get the TVS75 digitally integrated OK?

gem yeh i had a little phone support. got the d-pits enabled. ever since then i have not been able to get into it. it could be my cable w/ the radio shack null modem adapter on it. the customer is happy cause they went from no voice mail on an old strataxx with failing sets to this dbs w/ vm so it's mainly for my education i'm still messing with this install. martin
