I have a KXTD1232-7, 7050 stations, Tvs50, behind Centrex. I would like to be able not to have to dial two 9's when using a SLT. I have read everything I can find on this but so far nothing has worked. I have attempted to use the PBX code setup and I have tried using ARS. I have even read that this cannot be accomplished. Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.

It seems a shame to have those old analog sets on a late version digital system but none the less all you have to do is set each station to go off hook on a co then you will have to dial just one "9" to get around the centrex.
On that old 7050 put the switch to program, dial 99 then 1 then 2 then store, move the switch back.

MrGemini: I do agree with you. However, this system is for an HVAC supplier who will never ever use the full capabilities of the 7050 much less the more expensive digital sets. I offered them the option of the old KXT1232 but I think the word "digital" in the KXTD impressed them so that is what they ordered. People are funny. :-)
We have 2 SLTs for the customers to use. Is there any way avoid dialing 2 9's for an outside line? This would be nice but not necessary. Thanks again and Happy Father's day

You can use the ARS feature to accomplish this but I have to say that it isn't the easiest thing to program.

Meister is correct. It's tough on slt sets as the "9" that you would loose would be the 9 to get outside the TD1232. This would mean no access to the intercom. You can try to put a digital set on that port, set it up to go off hook on a co line and for parallel connect but I'm not sure if it's going to stay that way when you remove the digital set.
I'm not going to dwell on this analog subject but as for cost, dealer cost on a 7420 is only $9.00 higher then a 7050 not to mention there are tons of 7200 series sets available from used and aftermarket dealers.

Thanks to both MrGemini and Phonemeister for your info. This is one of those nice to have things but not necessary. I will have to play with this when I have some extra time to spare. Thanks again

Daniel, if the phone is one that their customers are using for outnound and not internal the you could use pickup dialing(can't remember the code right now). I've used it with Centrex and it works great with a single line.

Big K may be on to something, that "pickup dialing" feature may work.
Lift the handset on the SLT and dial 74299#
You should get an audible tone then hang up.
That sets the number, to activate it you need to pickup the handset and dial 741 and hang up.
If you need to adjust the "wait time" use program 204.
