What to do to make work two cabinets, beside setting up switches and connect cables?

you dont want to use the kxtd-192 interconnect? you can do it using co lines but have to change the numbering and make phantom extensions(no fun) go with the 192

I am using expansion kit, but not able to make the second cabinet to work. probably I am missing something to finish set-up.

What are the software levels on the two switches? I can't remember but there are certain levels that wont work together.

also older levels you have to sync them up let us know what level software it is

Do you set the switch on the second cabinet to slave?

Master is level 7 and slave is level 5, the switch is already set as slave on second cabinet.

The versions have to be the SAME.
Versions 1 and up can be interconnected,
even some of the pre -1 units can be.
2nd cabinet has to be set to slave.
Version 6 and later have "auto-sync"
The version 7 is actually the same software version as the 6 it's just that the -7 comes with a pre installed 193 CID card.
It is still recommended that both cabinets be brought up at the same time with NO activity at all for 3 minutes.
