Hello everyone,
I am having difficulties with a new KX-TAW848 system to allow the SLTs to gain an outside line. They all work internally but I can't get them to connect outside for the life of me. I know I messed somthing up, could anyone give me a little direction. This thing is starting to bug the devil out of me.
Thanks

I don't know this system.. but in case your not a tech and didn't try the obvious... most SLT's on alot of systems access a outside line/co. by dialing 9 ..including other versions of Panasonic systems. If that doesn't work you need to access a manual and found out the default code or assign/program the co's to a particular line group and then dial the appropriate code. Let me know what you found out.

I found that the way the unit hunts for the line was set on High to Low, I set it to circular and the phones now dial out. Very strange. Sorry for the delay, we are in a bit of chaos at the moment.

I have not programmed the 848 but most of the Pana KSUs have a trunk (CO)connection program. If it is set High to Low you were accessing none working COs. Program out those COs not in use (Disable). Also I believe from what I have read about this product that the wireless sets are restricted to only so many units (3?)that can be used at one time, restricting the others. Check into the operations part of the manual.
