I believe there the same as far as connecting. A NULL modem cable or adapter, 9600, 8, N, 1 with no flow control. Hyper-term works fine. Does it have a rotary switch or dip switchs? If you boot it up in position 1 the baud rate will be reset to 9600 Good luck

IIRC, Hyperterm that comes with Win me and possibly XP has a bug that prevents the "\" key from functioning. (it connects fine tho)If you run into this problem, "hyperterminal Personal Edition v6.3" will fix your problem. It is available (for free) at www.hilgraeve.com
