I have a 624/TVS50 with 2 CO lines and 12 stations.

I am trying to change the incoming CO ring time to allow answering most calls and then let the VMS pick up the others.

I currently get about 3-4 secs time to answer before the VMS picks up.

I tried changing programs 411-413 and 414-415. Both saved ok but no change on the VMS answer time. It still answers very quickly.

Am I in the right programming area?

Suggestions??

Thanks,

Tom

You probably would be better off to use IRNA(409,410) and set the IRNA ringing time(203). this allows 3-48 rings.

Not sure what manual Big is using, but 411 is the area you need to change, make sure you are changing both ports and all CO lines, you are using for VMail.

Also make sure that 414 & 415 show normal.

Thanks everyone for the replies.

I did change 411 but did not change the jacks, only the COs.

Thanks again,

Tom

The TVS50 has a delay in it IF it is programmed. Check it out. The delayed ringing is by CO but effects the station by port (jack). Please verify that the delay for each CO is set for the jacks for the 50. If it sets at Immediate then the delay is programmed in the 50.

One other thing --- check the program 40?(Don't have the manual here) for CO type. If it is set for DIL to the VM ports it won't ring long.
