Hi,I live in Peru South America and have inherited duties to help maintain a kx-td1232 phone system at our org. office. I know a little about programming the system. My question is this:
We have standard phones hooked up to the system, except for the one Panasonic that is used for programming. Is it possible to assign several phone extensions to ring when one phantom extension number is dialed with the standard phones? Can I program this or do you have to have the special panasonic phones? I'm trying to get the DISA card to shunt unanswered calls to several extensions rather than just one. I have figured out how to do it to just one, but thought if I had a phantom extension there instead of an actual extension, I would be able to get it to transfer to several extentions. Thanks!

to answer your question yes

you would be best advised to setup a ring group
how this works is 1. a group no is set ie 190
2 you asign members to that group up to 10 members
3 you set the group type ie ring(all members ring at same time ) or circlur the ringing phones moves through group in the order you have input them into the members table,& is controled by the busy -no answer timers
if you want to ring them exts you would just ring ext 190 (in the above example
...or you can point your dil 1-1 lines or ddi lines at ext 190 also
however if it is a case you only want to make more phones ring for an incomming call
this setup would not suit insted you would use dil 1-n setup
please let us know what you would like to do & we will help sort

Thanks so much Peter! Because of your help, I was able to do this. One possible problem remains: It appears that if someone doesn't pick up one of the extensions that the DISA forwards the call to after the same number of rings set up in the IRNA feature that the system routes the call back to the DISA again. Any way around that?

what you could try is this setup another group ( 192 ) with the same exts then put a grp intercept ...or overflow to the 2nd group
the result should be 1 st grp 190 rings when the irna timer kicks in it should ring the 2nd grp same ext but in a different order
or add the same ext twice into the same gpr that way it will stay ringing longer in the grp
but i havent tryed either myself i rearly use disa not much of a call for it here

but maby the Gem : will have some ideas give it a try anway ...best of luck
