I have a TD1232 with 5 Centrex lines and I just added 5 additional regular pot lines to the phone system. the problem is that the regular lines don't require the use of a nine yet the centrex do. acording to verizon they can't supress the nine on the centrex lines.
Is there away to program the phone system to auto dial the nine on the centrex lines or to require the use of a nine for the regular line?
I am not using poo button or anything of the sort, on the phones each button corespond to a line.

any ideas would be appreciated
thank you

not8player, will you please complete your profile for us?
Thank you, Gem
The system can not distinguish between pots and centrex lines.
Verizon should be able to set up an assume 9 on the lines.
What is the purpose of the centrex lines, I'm thinking for transfer purposes only.

From what Verizon told me they couldn't do it, the only way would be for me to cancel the Centrex contract $$$ in penalty. There is no real purpose for Centrex in my case. a sales man a few years back had convinced my predecessor that Centrex was they way to go and save money. I will try calling verizon again and see if they can configure the lines to assume 9.

Thank you

If you can't get Verizon to change to assumed 9, you probalby should use lcr and make everyone dial 9 plus tel number. That way you could add the 9 to the centrex group but not to the pots group.
