I've been reading and searching these forums and seemingly hundreds of websites. I cannot get background music to turn off on 1 phone in an office. (Same music as the MOH)
We tried dialing "1" (with the phone on-hook)
Tried 1,2,#53,#46,#47,#48,751,752,753,#751,#752,and #753...
I can't find anything that will turn off that single phone's background music. Any ideas?

Put a display set at that Ext. then press 1 and see what it reads in the display. Make sure there isn't a parellel connect. You did't mention what switch this old analog set is on. Please complete your profile for us. Thanks, MrG.

Which KSU is it KX-T, KX-TA , KX-TD? The KX-T turnoff sequence is: "intercom" 750# The KX-TA is to push "1" while the phone is on-hook. I don't know about the KX-TD
Vern Vern, the TD is just 1 on hook as well MrG
