I have a customer who owns a Ramada Inn. He must put a recording on a digital announcer for the wake-up calls. Ramada is telling him they don't have a recording of what the wake-up call should say. They are telling him to make his own wake-up message. Has anybody ran into this problem? Is there a wake-up message I can download? Help please!!!

A lot of hotel chains are requiring this now. Do they have a breakfast bar? Many of the hotels I service give a breakfast menu on the wake-up announcement. Like many other requirements in this industry, it will pass. Most guests do not even pick-up the phone when they wake and if they do they don't listen to it.

Actually, they do pick up the phone. They just hang it back up without waking up to listen. Then they complain at checkout and want their "100% Satisfaction Guarantee" free room. :bang: Makes you wonder if a nice, loud modem screech might be appropriate.

TECHarry They can't complain if they pick-up the phone, the time of pick-up is recorded and if they miss 3 cycles the front desk is alerted so they can knock on the door. This is programable for most systems. I have a few accounts in Winchester, I could show you the system sometime.

Was actually just poking at hotel guests in general. I've been there and done that and I always make sure the wake-up info passes to the CA printer and console alarms after failed attempts. Just commenting that some people complain about everything. I've actually had FD tell me they've shown the printout to the guest that the call was answered and they still won't believe. Of course, we won't talk about ring-trip, will we? :shhh:
