Hi all I have a question re: CTI when a call arrives you use the rs232 port of the kxtd12-32 to direct the call to the pc? right . you then use the tapi driver to activate the screen popping software ? Ok then my question is this.. for outgoing calls if the customer wants to use a headset and a windows based dialer. do they have to have a analogue modem in there pc to make the call ?. or is external line picked up from the rs232 port? or do they need another piece of equipment?.
As you can tell I have never covered CTI before any help would be great.

the tapi driver will only work on the first cabinet if you are using 2 , if you are using digital phones the driver will take that phone off hook automatically to dial , if you are using analog phone the phone will ring at the handset first and when you go off hook it will proceed to dial ,we have it a call centre hear using analog handsets and headsets , while not ideal it is not to bad
