Is there a way to have a PT answer Busy/No Ans CO calls with their personal mail box?

Is this the build-in voicemail (BV I think) or the Voice mail addition?

It's Panasonic's term for Direct Inward Line. There is a setting in programming to Terminate a line to ring only 1 ext, if that ext is forwarded it follows the forward dest of that station. KXTD called it DIL 1:1 To ring more than 1 phone you used DIL 1:N I assumed you were talking about outside calls ringing in to the system. There is also an application on the Pan website to have all outside calls be answered a mailbox and still be able to ring several phones. This would be a group Mailbox setup.

If your concern is to have calls directed to a specific extension be answered with that extensions mailbox then set that extension to call forward either B/NA (busy no answer) or all calls to the pilot port of the voicemail. MrG

I should have been more specific. What I have here is a KX-TA824 with a KX-TVA50 voice mail system. The customer does not want to use Auto-Attendant. However, each station has a mail box assigned. They want all stations to ring on outside (CO) lines and have only one station's mailbox to answer them if no one picks it up. I have gone through all of the books and software and have not found a way to do this. Maybe it can't, I'm just taking advantage of all of the knowledge here to solve this.

Take a slt port, have all lines ring on that port and any other phones you want, plug it into a CO port, DIL that CO port to another slt port that has mailbox, then forward that SLt NA to VM. That mailbox will answer all lines. Then put Other Mesg Wait button on all phones for that Mailbox. The lines can still ring all other phones and they can all have a mailbox. :toothy:

Thanks for all the help on this. I agree that this is the wrong way to do things. We must remember that the customer is always right until they fail to pay the bill.
Would you believe it, this is a company that bought the system from a Radio Shack store and asked me to install it. I'm a Avaya guy and this has be a learning experiance for me.
Thanks again.
