Turn on SMDR for the PBX so you can see actually what number is being set to the PBX. Then check and see if you have a match in the voicemail for it.

SMDR (Station Message Detail Recording). The RS232 port on the 848 is used to hook up a PC or Printer and collect all information on incoming and outgoing calls. This will allow you to see the incoming calller id (number) and examine what you get versus how the voicemail and pbx treat it. I found this very helpful when trouble shooting a similar problem. Just use a terminal emulation program on your PC like Hyperterminal and connect and RS232 cable from your PC to the 848.
