What a stupid thing to discontinue the expansion card or even to make two types, both should support CID.
You can always tell when something is old if it says "Made in USA"

You need to buy CID card all the same. After that you need to install & to set it. One CID card serves only 4 CO lines (as was said by MrGemini). That is you can insert only 1 CID card KX-TD 193 in PBX KX-TD 816. You can insert one more CID card in KX-TD 180 card (additional 4 CO lines). You can see Caller ID & Name on LCD of PT or through CTI application on TAPI. You can find it on www.blitz-cti.com
