We have a TDA50 in the field that is ringing 1/2 a ring every night at 11:43pm. The customer did a *69 and it called the last person he talked to. It just started 2 months after the installation was finished and nobody has done any programing to the system that would give me a place to start looking. The local provider was onsite to install a DSL line last week when this started so we called them back out to check their lines and they say that it has to be our system. Has anyone else seen this behavior before? if so how did you correct it?

I suppose the 1st thing to do is determine if the system is responding to a CO line or if the system itself is doing it. I'd almost bet it's something on the CO. Any possibility of disconnecting the CO lines around 11:40 or so? Are these pots or off a channel bank from a T ? If your running DSL there probably POTS. Clocking issues and slippage on a T can cause a lot of weird problems. Is this always the same CO. MrG

It is in fact a POTS CO. The customer isn't much help but he believes that is is the same line every time. We are going to unplug the assumed offending line tonight and see if it happens. if it doesn't we may have found the problem but I still need help finding the solution?

Have you checked smdr for that time period?
Might help you narrow it down.
